While it can be a wonderful thing to have people come and visit your grave, it is equally as terrible to have them do the same thing when you are alive. While it is true that people often remember deceased loved ones by putting flowers on their graves, what they often forget is that the dead do not need flowers. When a person dies their dead body decomposes, and while some folks get buried with a headstone or a coffin, they usually get buried in a pauper’s grave. So, when a person dies, there is no ceremony where they are remembered forever.

Instead, they get buried and forgotten. When the dead are left alone in their graves, they get worms and bugs that can easily infest a grave or a tombstone. The thought of having to sit around in your coffin or sitting in your grave for eternity does not sound like something worth doing.
